[FO3 MOD] Global Travel System

Have any of you guys tried the GTS mod for FO3?


The bike is next to the chainlink fence behind the red rocket in springvale.

The car is behind the shed near the entrance to the scrapyard. It will look like an ordinary car, unless you are using the black highwayman module, which will make it easier to spot amongst the assorted vehicles.

I found the vehicles bounce

GTS Mod

It links the DC wasteland to the rest of the world and enables Random Encounters on non-Bethesda fast travel.

I haven't been able to find the vehicles yet though No

It's mostly just new landscapes, hopefully more people will make their landscapes compatible with GTS. There's a Canada mod that uses GTS which looks really promising.

Awesome, After this mod is complete and I get a better system I plan to expand my modding into fallout 3 and future games =).
Havent played any mods for F3 yet, still playing the game, but I heard they are pretty awesome XD

I play with a few mods, but the problem I'm finding is actually downloading the bigger ones. My internet connection is rubbish, so it takes ages.

The best way to get fallout 3 mods fast is to buy a subscription on fallout3nexus.com and download from the premium server with Orbit or some other download manager.

There are also two other mods that are worth having:

The Settler which let's you build your own village and Alternative Start - Paladin which let's you make a custom character with a profession, Scavanger, Outcast etc.

Yes, in future times I do indeed plan to expand into the real fallout 3 game. However that will be after a few thousand investment in a development computer and after this mod. At least these are my plans, I have no idea where life will really take me in future years.
My brother is working on modding in F3 and really wants me to get involved right now, but I got obligations to this team and like I've said my personal system is way 2 weak to test them =p

I'll have to ask him tomorrow, hes in bed right now *2:39am* here.
I'll update you with a post about it. Earlier he was showing me as well where he greatly improved the Coyote Pwr armr

GTS sounds outstanding! Too bad I have the xbox version...dang computer can't handle FO3. I check out the mods anyways and some of the ones that I think look promising are the Wanderer's edition (changes the game into more of a survival game), DC Confidential (adds notes, computer logs, journals for some extra pre-war reading) Mart's Mutant Mod (new creatures, variety of skins for creatures, AI, etc) Rockville commons (adds a much needed Rockville town but it needs some patches) and DC Interiors (Adds more enterable buildings in Georgetown). Well that's just the tip of the iceberg too! I like seeing the mods that add more variety and content, rather than game breaking armors and weapons and minor face lifts (although there's some goodies in those categories too).

Sorry, got a little side tracked. The GTS mod looks like huge potential for all modders. With all the new land masses, are people starting to make Fallout: Australia, and the like?

GTS is currently compatible with 3 different mods, Here. There's also a Canada mod being made for GTS and a California mod that is currently not looking too good, but that might change when and if they have something to show us in the near future.

There are also some city projects that could teoretically be added to GTS when they start public testing. New York and Sin City.
