Some haven't joined yet and the others are mainly posting in the areas that normal users can't see.

Well, they were doing it anyway, just on a different site. But that site seemed to be really unreliable so they switched to here.
... but I'm still talking on the public area! Smile

I've returned from the dead. Yes this is Wei Xiadi from TaleWorlds. xD

Anyways, as for the site, you 'could' make it look better, I'm not to into this colour scheme or the background, I mean this light green - It isn't the most appealing site I've seen. xD

Also, maybe it's just me, but a banner that kind of reflects what the site is about usually helps, all I see is a random sig with opposite types of imagery incorporated. If this is JUST social, chat about anything site. Then I'll just leave. Razz

The reason you can only see the social side of the site at the moment is because I haven't added you to the developers list, but I'll add you now.

Do you have any suggestions for how this site could be improved? If you don't like the graphics, what kind do you think would be better?

The banner has two iconic fallout images, how does that not reflect what the site is about?

Progress is increasing, we are getting the team a lot more active and are doing a lot of planning. =). Hopefully soon we will give the community much more details.

Re: I have arrived

Post by Prince Nuada on Sun Mar 22, 2009 4:06 pm

Site creating/designing is something I've known how to do for awhile. The banner, even if relevant (which I wouldn't know) is different by imagery standards, it's a different sort of picture for the fallout references. How a kid sticking his thumb up reflects our intentions of doing a mod is beyond me, but sure, it'll do.

As for graphics, when I did my graphics course we were always taught to keep things consistent in patterns. The banner doesn't fit with the theme of the site. I'd probably either incorporate your background as a gradient click over to the board or use a matching colour code to help blend the 2 together. It does look good, I'm not insulting it. But I'd rather give you my personal opinion then lie to you by telling you it's amazing when it isnt.

Sorry If I appear to be rude, just consider it as constructive crit xD. You'll have plenty of chances to do the same to my work Wink heh.

As essi said, the reason I chose those images is because they are immediately recognizable as being to do with the fallout series.
But I take your point about the banner. I was going to do something like you suggested, but I felt it was better to actually get the forums up and running instead of concentrating too much on cosmetic details.
When I find time to do it I'll try to improve the graphics on the forums.

haha thanks. That by far is the greatest perk or/trait ever thought of. Spiritwind unfortunately you have to implement that perk and or trait into the mod as well as hire Ron Perlmen to narrate the entire mod. Man... sucks to be you muhaha. Twisted Evil
