Ripper, by SNM
I love you guys, so I used my minimal modelling skills to create a model to replace the current ripper, you don't have to accept it, but I just thought I'd show it off. The old version wasn't too ugly a model, and actually, it was quite reminiscent of the rippers of Fallout1/2, but I wanted to modernize it for you and make it seem more like a chainsaw.

It has 804 triangles, no UV map, no texture. It still needs some fine tuning such as width consistency on the hand guard and teeth for the blade.

What program did you use to make it?
We may be able to incorporate it as a quested upgrade to the ripper

I'm just saying, that is a model that looks like it was made in Wings 3d, great program and easy to get the hang of.

@Dawg: Yep, it's a wings 3d model.
@Spirit: I'm not really looking for a spot, but I do enjoy playing the mod so I thought I might as well pitch in a bit. If you have any weapons you want modelled, I generally have time to make like one a day.

you might want to consider using a texture for the teeth, add a plane where the teeth should be in and just texture, good for polycount

the edge doesn't have teeth because i don't know how alphas work in m&b, but here are three shots of a quickly temp. textured ripper, inside, outside-day, and outside-night.
